About Suellen Cusack

My passion for classical crossover music is deeply personal. It was kindled by the enchanting voices of Aled Jones, Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, and Sissel, all of whom I deeply admire. The act of singing these beautiful melodies, which resonate with my authentic voice, holds profound meaning for me. I am also proud to infuse my Irish heritage into my style. I was born and raised in Bundaberg, QLD, by my Irish father and Australian mother. My father was born in Bunnoe in Country Cavan, and my grandmother, who was on my mother’s side, loved Celtic musicians.

In 2023, I marked a significant milestone in my musical journey with the release of my debut album, ‘Whisper Of Angels‘.This album is a heartfelt tribute to my deep connection with my Celtic Roots. I dedicated my version of ‘Fields Of Athenry’ to my late father Brian and his brothers Noel, Father Gerard and Eddie (all deceased). ‘Whisper of Angels’ debuted at #1 on the ARIA classical crossover charts.

This year, I have continued my musical journey with the release of ‘The Irish Songbook‘, debuting in the #1 position on the ARIA classical crossover charts. This album is a collection of my favourite Irish songs. Words and melodies that have resonated with me for years. I hope you love listening to it as much as I loved making it.

My albums, ‘Whisper Of Angels’ and ‘The Irish Songbook’, are a dream come true. It was a fated second-chance opportunity that I am humbled to see come to fruition, and both albums are everything I could have hoped for and more.

I have always loved Irish music – the sentiment, the melodies, and the storytelling.

My father was born in Bunnoe in Country Cavan and my grandmother on my mother’s side was a great lover of Celtic musicians.

This album is a collection of my favourite Irish songs. Words and melodies that have resonated with me for years. I hope you love listening to it as much as I loved making it.
