About Suellen Cusack

My love for classical crossover music has been inspired by a lifetime of listening to the likes of Aled Jones, Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, and Sissel – to name a few of my favourites. This genre allows me to augment my style to sing beautiful melodies and balled in my true voice.

Born and raised in Bundaberg by my Irish father and Australian mother, I have always had a close connection with my Celtic roots. On my debut album, Whisper of Angels, I have dedicated my version of Fields of Athenry to my late father, Brian, and his brothers Noel, Father Gerard, and Eddie (all deceased).

My albums, Whisper of Angels and The Irish Songbook, are genuinely a dream come true. A fated second-chance opportunity that I am humbled to see come to fruition and both albums are everything I could have hoped for and more…

The Irish Songbook

When Robert Rigby from Ambition Entertainment came to me with the idea of recording a second album, my answer was an easy yes. I’ve always loved Irish music – the sentiment, the melodies, and the storytelling.

My father was born in Bunnoe in Country Cavan and my grandmother on my mother’s side was a great lover of Celtic musicians.

This album is a collection of my favourite Irish songs. Words and melodies that have resonated with me for years. I hope you love listening to it as much as I loved making it.
